Besides a particular set of svaras and the emphasis given to some of them, the personality of a rāg is also determined by the melodic movement between its svaras. Some of these movemes are frequently used, and become defining traits of the rāg. This tool helps you to visualize this movement across svaras, and to pay attention to the characteristic melodic phrases of the performed rāg. Read the instructions below.
